| Risk Assessment | Under the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations, every employer is obliged to conduct risk assessments for whatever hazards employees or visitors may face. | Personal Safety | Personal safety training is one of the most effective ways of reducing the risk of violent and aggressive incidents occurring in the workplace. Issues covered include assessing risk; developing personal safety policies and procedures; lone-working; home visits; travelling; cash handling; frontline working; responding to physical and verbal aggression; de-escalation and defusion techniques and post incident support. | See across. | Manual Handling | Bad back and musculoskeletal problems are said to be responsible for over a third of all lost days from work in the UK. | Controlling Contractors | Section 3 of the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act places a duty on any organisation to ensure that contractors are competent to carry out the tasks required. In any client/contractor relationship, both parties have duties under health and safety law and this also applies to any sub-contractor involved. These could include cleaners, maintenance workers, construction, etc. |

Our Courses
After completion of the above courses, delegates will possess the necessary skill and knowledge to undertake suitable and sufficient risk assessments, reviews, recording procedures appropriate to the course. Our courses will feature practical demonstrations, discussions, films, and handouts.

Course Duration
All of the above courses are half day courses of approximately 4 hours duration (including breaks and refreshments). In our experience people’s attention tends to wane towards the end of full day courses.
Cost
All of the above courses are priced at £225.00 + VAT per person (2 delegates 5% discount / more than 2 delegates 10% discount). Price includes all course materials, handouts, booklets, refreshments and buffet lunch.
